Hail to the Red and Gray,
to those whose hair turned into gray,
plus a reading glasses they now always wear.
Oh my, oh my…how time has passed by,
along with our mighty teeth now had gone by,
to which a denture now we uncomfortably apply.
My Gosh. . .so many times we so hardly tried,
to tuck our bulking belly so deep inside,
to hide our tummy that sagged side by side.
Endlessly, the wrinkles keeps popping-up,
like a website infested with spams & virus crop,
where make ups and Foundations are but a prop.
Come to think, the sugar and cholesterol,
the uric acid and blood pressure, above it all,
we can no longer take so much of alcohol.
Others become bald while others became bold,
truly, it’s the sign that wisdom had unfold,
need not to say that each one has a story to be told.
Many of us, through the test and task,
in our ups and downs, we constantly ask,
God. . .why is this life so hard to grasp?
I say. . .for every life story, there is a mystery,
none of us can tell nor will know actually,
who, when, how or what eventually.
Nonetheless, for a while put away your worries,
share your reminiscences and make your indulgences,
to the grand reuniting, of UNC Batch 81 Homecoming.
Give in to the call, as we may recall,
when we were young, life is so beautiful,
a 25 years of memory recall.
